What We Believe
The Five-Fold Ministry at City Light
We are a family of believers who follow a New Testament church structure, with Jesus at the center of everything. The Bible declares Jesus gave gifts to the church to enable the people to demonstrate HIS love to the world. These are active gifts: Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, and Teachers, outlined in Ephesians 4:11. We believe these five gifts are essential to the flow of our ministry both in our Sunday meetings and in your personal environment.
What We Believe at City Light Church
We at City Light Church embrace the value that all Scripture is God-breathed.
We believe that through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ has provided our salvation.
We are all saved by grace, live by grace, and walk by faith.
We desire to walk in the revelation of the love of the Father, for we are called to love one another.
We see the five-fold ministry—apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher—as biblically expressed through the body of Christ.
We welcome the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the spiritual gifts empowered by God.
We believe that when we come together as the body of Christ, each individual has been given gifts from God to share with one another so that all may grow in displaying God’s glory.
Our Mission
A Church where Christ is the head and directed by Holy Spirit.
A message so clear lives are changed forever. We praise, worship and exalt Jesus. We love the outcast, protect orphans, honor widows, encourage families and build relationships.
